The Healthy2NITE Healthy Meter

Healthy Meter Healthy2NITE Healthy Meter

The Healthy2NITE Healthy Meter is a tool that will help you quickly determine how the nutritional values in one serving of a recipe compares with our healthy guidelines. As the Healthy Meter gets closer to ten (in the red), it means that there is more of this particular value in a recipe. Healthy2NITE limits the amounts of certain nutritional values in a recipe serving. For instance, a single serving of any recipe on Healthy2NITE can't have more than 500 calories. A recipe with 500 calories will max out the Healthy Meter while a recipe with only 250 calories means the Healthy Meter is only half. You can find more about why we chose certain amounts at About Healthy2NITE

Calories: The maximum calories in a single serving of any recipe on Healthy2NITE is 500 calories. The Healthy Meter will be in the red if a single serving of the recipe or food item has more than this.

Low Fat Recipes: The maximum fat in any recipe on Healthy2NITE is 20g. The Healthy Meter will be in the red if a single serving of the recipe or food item has more than this.

Low Saturated Fat Recipes: The maximum saturated fat in any recipe on Healthy2NITE is 5g. The Healthy Meter will be in the red if a single serving of the recipe or food item has more than this.

Low Cholesterol Recipes: The maximum cholesterol in any recipe on Healthy2NITE is 250mg. The Healthy Meter will be in the red if a single serving of the recipe or food item has more than this.

Note that no recipe can be in the red and still be submitted to Healthy2NITE.
