Ingredients:
2 large Egg, white, raw, fresh
1 tsp Spices, cinnamon, ground
1 tsp Spices, nutmeg, ground
1 tsp Salt, table
3 tsp Vanilla extract
3 cup slices Apples, raw, without skin
1 1/2 cup Applesauce, canned, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid
2 cup, chopped Nuts, pecans
1 tsp Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium
1 1/2 tsp Leavening agents, baking soda
2 cup Sugars, granulated
2 cup unsifted, dipped Wheat flour, white, cake, enriched
Directions:
| Step 1: | Pare and slice 3 cups of apples. | 5 mins |
| Step 2: | Mix together the sugar, flour, soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon and pecans in a bowl and set aside. | 5 mins |
| Step 3: | Mix together the applesauce, eggs, vanilla in the mixing bowl. Add the thinly sliced apples. | 5 mins |
| Step 4: | Slowly add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl. Thoroughly mix dry ingredients into the moist ingredients. | 5 mins |
